The Panorama Page

In an effort to keep the Classicrail site as "modem friendly" as possible, we avoided using large media files, and paid close attention to overall file size, compression rates, and pallete reduction. Here's where we hid the bigger files:

Quicktime Virtual Reality Panormas:

A view of the New Freedom Yard.
The construction of the new New Freedom station, and a few of the cars from the dinner train are visible in this 360-degree panoramic image.
The Gettysburg Railroad.
This view from the entrance to the Gettysburg Historic Site shows the observation tower, Civil War monuments and the main entrance to the battlefield memorial.
Inside the cab of the B&O 800.
This 180-degree panorama was taken from the brakeman's seat.

These files have been converted from the virtual reality format, to the more widely-supported Quicktime movie (.MOV) format. A plugin is needed to view from your Internet Explorer or Netscape browser. Download the Quicktime 3 plugin (for both Macs and PCs) from the Apple Site. There are other plugins that will play this file type that may already be installed on your computer.
